Community Links Wellbeing (CLW) are very fortunate to have a dedicated Aboriginal Community Cultural Engagement Worker. Leann Dykes has been a local of the Wollondilly for 50 years.
Leann has strong community connections not only in the Wollondilly Shire, but also in the Wingecarribee as well. Leann is a proud Garingbal/Garaynbal/Karingbal woman.
Leann has a strong connection to community and a sincere commitment to supporting, promoting and advocating for Aboriginal people and sharing Aboriginal culture.
Leann has already established very impressive partnerships within schools across Wollondilly and Wingecarribee. She also provides cultural workshops and in partnership with other recognized Aboriginal services and individuals continues to introduce, and encourage increased participation, knowledge and involvement in Aboriginal Culture.
The Aboriginal Community Cultural worker role is a very important addition to the outreach and service that CLW provide. We encourage all Aboriginal people who would like to access cultural support or would like to expand their involvement in community to contact Leann.
Leann Is a valued member of the team and a great first contact point, for any Aboriginal person or family that need information about CLW services or support. CLW have a broad range of service and support options and also a strong connection with many external agencies that may be able to assist Aboriginal families, individuals and young people.
