Carers Safari These are a two day forum held in various locations in Macarthur, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee. They include an expo, free information, talks from services such as Centrelink and Macarthur Legal, therapeutic activities and a free lunch.
Koori Flow is a project is being run in partnership with a number of different services across Wollondilly, Camden and Campbelltown LGAs and the local high school. The project uses cultural workshops to increase Aboriginal Young People’s understanding of their culture and identity. The project also seeks to increase Aboriginal Young People’s access to Youth Services.
Sex and Ethics is a ground breaking program developed by the University of Western Sydney. It aims to prevent violence and abuse through developing an understanding of personal ethics & decision making skills to manage and negotiate safe and healthy relationships.
Drumbeat This program has been developed by the Hollyoake Institute and runs in schools and Youth Centres throughout Australia. The program uses a mix of music therapy and social learning to help young people develop focusing skills, team skills and self connectedness.
Cyber Bullying is a program developed by South Western Sydney Area Health Services. It teaches groups of High School students to support peers with skills to handle Cyber Bullying.
Challenging Serious Behaviours Collaboratively This course is aimed at parents with children diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), or Conduct Disorder (CD) or challenging behaviour.
