The Family Support Team
Our team of experienced workers provide support for you when things happen in your family that you would like to talk about or need assistance with.
We can come to your home, talk to you on the phone, meet with you in a public place or meet at our Centre in Tahmoor. The decision is up to you.
We can provide assistance when:
- You want to improve your family life
- You don’t know who else can help
- It feels there is always stress or a crisis in your life
- You are worried about yourself, your children or your partner
- You don’t know which service is supposed to help you
- Someone in your family has a mental illness
- You’re a single parent and it all gets too hard
- Life just seems to tough

Legal Advice This free legal advice service is provided to anyone living in the Wollondilly area provided your legal matter is covered by our Legal Centre. The legal areas covered by our Centre include Credit and Debt, Discrimination Law, Family Law, Wills, Power of Attorney and Guardianship, Fines, Consumer Complaints, Centrelink, Victims Compensation and Employment Law.

No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) The aim of the scheme is to provide low-income consumers, usually those with a Health Care Card or Pension Concession Card, with flexible and affordable credit. Financial Counseling This service assists people through their financial crisis and in developing money-managing skills for long-term rehabilitation. In today’s society financial problems can happen to anyone. You may be facing financial problems caused by factors beyond your control. It is best to seek help as soon as possible so these problems don’t get out of control.

Muru Nanga Mai program for the Aboriginal community The Yura Ngalaya Community Support Service and the Family Healing Project are delivered by Muru Nanga Mai - a welcoming place that offers support and advice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Those needing help to access the services can drop in for a chat, or make an appointment to arrange a longer time to talk and ask questions.

Brief Therapy Solutions provides specialised assessment and therapeutic interventions as well as mentoring programs aimed at addressing the complexities associated with behavioural disorders, attachment issues and associated mental health issues in children, young people and their families. Community Links Wollondilly and Brief Therapy Solutions have formed a partnership to offer several workshops to help families’ better cope with children with challenging and explosive behaviour and attachment concerns.

The Gambling Treatment Clinic People will often gamble as a means of having fun, socialising or relaxing. However for some people, gambling can turn into a problem. If gambling does become a problem it can have a big effect on a persons life. If a family member or friend indicates they are experiencing problems with their gambling, ask the person what they would like to do about their problem and if they would like some help. The Gambling Treatment Clinic is a free, confidential and professional counseling service for anyone experiencing problems with gambling.
